Thank Heaven for Little Girls
Rescue Raffle

Winners have been announced!

What happens when a little cocker is so sickly she is looked over by all the rescues that come through?  Well, if she's really lucky CockerPals finds a way to fit her in to their program.  This is the story of not one such girl, but the story of three girls and how you can help them and CockerPals during a financially hard time.  Everyone knows how hard it can be raising three girls!

Meet Lucy, the first of our three girls.  Lucy was blessed to have a mother who loved and spoiled her.  Her mom saw beyond her birth defect (dwarfism of the legs) and saw the beauty inside.  They were inseparable partners for over 10 years, but when her mom became too ill to care for her Pals stepped in to make sure she would continue to have a good life.  She's a happy, well adjusted little girl but because her special needs make her very hard to place, she has assumed the permanent role as head diva with her foster family.

Most everyone remembers Billie - the little blind girl living on a farm with a goat as her guide.  We are pleased to let everyone know she had cataract surgery and can now see!  Her last check up said she is doing great and her eyes are healing nicely from the surgery.  It's a joy to see her running and playing with the other dogs.  We expect her to be running laps around them any day now!

And this is Annie, who came into rescue last week.  Annie was saved from a family that neglected and abused her her entire life. But this tiny little baby holds no grudge against the rest of the world for what she went through. She may be blind and weak right now, but she's a total love bug and never stops wagging her tail.  To give Annie the life she deserves so much, she will need special medical care before she can go to her forever home.   She needs laser surgery to take care of the pressure building in her eyes due to glaucoma and to biopsy a suspicious spot on her ankle.

Drawing will be held November 2nd to allow time for all checks to arrive.

The girls and CockerPals thank you for all your help!
